Under limited supervision, directs and coordinators the activities of a single office.

Coordinates activities for attorney to include maintaining a master calendar for hearing, depositions, and other activities such as transcription and scheduling appointments.
Provides initial screening evaluation and prioritizing of work Schedules depositions, medical exams, etc. ensuring proper notification is provided
Orders records being subpoenaed
Tracks and enters own billable activities per guidelines
Coordinates activities on new files received to office: assigns client id number, enters basic information into Practicemaster, establishes initial file diaries to ensure critical date review is completed after critical date review by Managing Attorney.
Participates as part of the management team by implementing standard of performance and monitoring effectiveness by reviewing individual objectives managing performance and promotes professional development of assigned staff.
Liaison regarding office needs; coordinates and supervises activities related to office equipment, machines, supplies


Pay Range: $60,000 plus

Required Skills: Must have a general understanding of legal office procedures and workers' compensation required. Knowledge of medical and legal terminology is a must. Must possess at least one of the following A Certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association OR A certificate of completion of paralegal at, or a degree from, a post secondary institution that requires the successful completion of a min. of 24 semester, or equivalent unit in law related courses A baccalaureate degree or advanced degree in any subject and a minimum of one year of law related experience under the supervision of an attorney who has been an active member of the State Bar of CA for at least the preceding three years and a written declaration for this attorney stating that the person is qualified to perform paralegal tasks A high school diploma and a minimum of three years of law related experience under the supervision of an attorney who has been an active member of the State Bar of CA for at least the preceding three years and a written declaration for this attorney stating that the person is qualified to perform paralegal tasks
