SAP Business Analyst SCM (Purchasing)

Type: Computer & Mathematical

City: Burnaby & New Mexico

This position will support the SAP enterprise implementation program. This position covers ERP Supply Chain Management functional areas focusing on Purchasing . The job responsibilities includes SAP design, configuration, testing, developing training matieral, training, conversion, go live and ongoing user support. Extensive (100%) travel will be required because of project location and phase.

Essential Responsibilities:
Project Team and Enterprise Interaction: Work with other project team members and appropriate business departments to identify appropriate business solutions and resolve specific issues for SAP implementations.
Documentation and Communication: Utilize standard SAP Program documentation, reports and communication as appropriate to project role. Create specific documentation or reports as appropriate to project being implemented. Communicate with other IT, Competency Center and business groups as required.
Testing and Configuration: Be responsible for testing and configuration of SAP for a specific project and business or IT function. This will be process functionality for existing business analysts, or data conversion/interfaces if an IT Programmer/Analyst.
Bachelors degree required and/or three years relevant business experience. A combination of ERP systems experience and detailed knowledge of business processes for the Supply Chain Management areas. Prior ERP project implementation experience desired and valuable (within the last 5 years). Strong problem solving skills. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
SAP or equivalent ERP System knowledge (Oracle JDE, Cincom, Mapics, etc) and/or implementation experience. Understanding of business processes and the resulting systems implementation. Some technical ability to configure ERP applications. Knowledge of a reporting tool (Cognos, Crystal, Report Writer, etc) helpful. Competence in general PC business applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, etc.)
 Ability to work with various levels of business people and communicate/train in systems functionality. Public Sector experience a must.


Pay Range: DOE
